Sanibel Island Outfit Diary :

Sanibel Island Outfit Diary :

Here is my first ever outfit diary! I decided I would take some photos/videos in each of my outfits throughout our mini-getaway at Sanibel Island, with the help of my Hubbager Mr. Lizano! Check out all of my outfits + links on how you can achieve the same exact looks!💛

Women’s Short Sleeve With Lace Details Shift Dress – Knox Rose

I wanted to be able to leave in something cute but comfy, because we were going to be stuck in a car for about 2 hours before we reached our destination. So I decided to wear this beautiful Mamey color linen dress from Target. I was able to link it above, but only in the color white, as that is the only color they currently have available.

Ribbed One Piece Swimsuit – Shade & Shore

Let’s talk about formfitting, this swimsuit wrapped around my body as if it were made specifically for me! The material was thick enough to give me full coverage, and offered the most perfect cheeky bottom!

White Palm Print Culottes & Tie Front Bralet

It’s not a tropical vibe, unless you’ve got a tropical set to go with it – blessed to have collaborated with Pretty Little Thing for this trip, because I got to wear the cutest outfits ever!

Pink Tie Dye Ribbed Bardot Balloon Sleeve Ruched Bodycon Dress

Tie-Dye is definitely the way to my C O R A Z O N, this bodycon dress fit so well + matched the vibrant sunset perfectly after a long beachy day!

Cheeky High Leg Monokini One Piece Swimsuit – Xhilaration Pink & Pacific Straw Fedora

Did someone say Fedora? This had to be one of my favorite beachy looks, I actually bought this swimsuit on our final run to Target right before our trip, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. The color gave me major ‘tropical vibes’ and I thought it would go perfectly with the Heart-shaped Sunglasses that I also got at Pretty Little Thing!🦩

Tiger Print Bikini

Funny enough I got a bunch of DM’s regarding this Bikini I wore on our last beachy day, which is why I decided to link it above. I’ve had this bikini for over a year now, and it’s one of my favorite bikinis because of it’s print!🐅

Lime Bandage Rib Crew Neck Low Armhole Bodycon Dress

This peachy dress I wore on our last night at Sanibel caused sensation all throughout the island, especially to Alex’s eyes 😍 lol – he really wanted me to get this specific dress & insisted that I had to have it!

Dog Mom Graphic Tee & Mid-Rise Skinny Raw hem Ankle Jeans – Universal Thread

On our departure date, I decided to wear something a little more sporty. I didn’t post it up on the Insta’s Timeline, but I did post it up on my stories & you guys wanted all the deets! As many of you guys know, I had been on the look for some new denims, and I found the perfect fit at Target + I also picked up this cute Tee to represent my little Scoobs!🐶

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know f you would like to see more outfit diaries from every place I go to! Happy Hump Day!✨

Sanibel Island, FL :

Sanibel Island, FL :

You know that saying that traveling is the only thing you can spend money on that will make you richer – well, Alex & I definitely believe that! We’ve made it a habit to at least once a year plan a little getaway so we can relax, meet new places and create new memories. Since the beginning of this year we had a trip planned out for the weekend of our wedding anniversary, but had to cancel last minute for obvious reasons! Shortly after we canceled my family-business was mandated by the county to close until further notice & I was basically stuck at home, handling all of Marilin’s online orders, while Alex was working non-stop + wrapping up his last couple of weeks of PGY-1 residency. Honestly, I felt extra bad for Alex because I knew exactly how badly he really just wanted to take a few days off to relax, but at that current moment it wasn’t gonna be option.

Fast forward to June 27th (just to be exact), we booked a mini-getaway to celebrate the fact that Alex was officially done with his residency – the funny part was that I basically had less than 24 hours to pack up everything, because we were literally leaving the next day. Some would question why did we wait so last minute to book anything and the answer to that is quite simple, with everything that has been going on this past year, we didn’t want to book anything with anticipation and then have to cancel once again! I won’t lie, at first I was a bit skeptical as to where we should go, I knew it had to be somewhere local just incase an emergency or potential lock-down due to this pandemic. The great part of living in Florida, is that FL has beautiful beaches all throughout the state, but you have to be willing to drive just a little. We were looking for a place neither of us have ever been to and we had a few options, but one specific spot stood out the most for us and that was Sanibel Island. We wanted to go somewhere that was tropical and peaceful, and I must say that the other reason why we were so attracted to this location, was because of the amazing deal we got at the resort! DEALS are always the way to Alex’s heart 💛 😂!

ROOM TOUR ✨

We found this Resort right on the Southwest Gulf Coast of Sanibel Island, called Sundial Beach Resort & Spa. We were able to select from their spacious and fully-equipped condominium accommodations our Island Suite! They’ve got different condos to fit everyones needs, I personally liked the fact that it was spacious + very private/cozy at the same time. It honestly felt like we were in our second home, I even remember us leaving dinner one night and saying “now when we get home let’s sit on the balcony”! We reserved directly from their site with the Florida & Georgia Resident Discount; which included Breakfast for 2 every morning of our stay, beach towels, chairs & umbrellas, paddle boarding, kayaks, bikes to ride throughout the island and all the basics that a resort usually includes.

The resort is very centric to local restaurants & shops, which was something I absolutely loved, because you don’t have to fully rely on the resort if you’d like to grab something to eat. The resort also offers multiple restaurants/bars, but we really wanted to eat local food and I’m glad we did because we got to try out different restaurants. I feel like the best part of the resort was the fact that it included so many activities like bikes, kayaks and paddle boarding. We would normally do something active every day and then end up relaxing at the beach until 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon. Plus, by that time the low-tide was active and we would just walk right by the shoreline collecting seashells. The amount of beautiful seashells that you will find at Sanibel is insane, I have never seen so many seashells in my life! I mean, they don’t just call Sanibel a tropical island destination with miles of shell-strewn beaches for nothing!

TIKTOK : @adayinyesislife

Sanibel Island is definitely a must if you haven’t been to already, trust me! Needless to say, this trip was definitely all about relaxing, and that’s something we both needed! We laughed, we created new memories and we probably even found the one place we could always turn to for a mini-getaway!💛🌴✨ – Till we meet again Sani!

Honeymoon :

Honeymoon :

We’re still on that honeymoon state of mind, but I wish we could be reliving that entire week all over again! When it came to honeymoon 🍯 planning, Alex & I literally had to wait till last minute to actually reserve anything. We were getting married on March 30th, and I kid you not when I am telling you that 2 weeks before the wedding, was when we were finally able to reserve our honeymoon. Ever since Alex started Pharmacy School, we would always have to plan things around his schedule, especially our honeymoon, because he was waiting to see where & when he would start his residency year.

So on March 15th, 2019 at exactly 8:00AM, he finally got that phone call that we were both yearning for so long. He had gotten accepted at the #1 place that he really wanted to do his 1st year of residency & we were finally on the clear to plan our honeymoon. His graduation date was set for May 17th & he still had to study for his board exam before he started the residency program, which only left us with 1 possible week to celebrate our honeymoon. Which was perfect, because all we really wanted to do was take some time off, just for the two of us & disconnect from our normal routine.

Fast forward to one day later, and we were able to get an amazing deal on a 1-week cruise on the Symphony of the Seas by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line & we were finally able to book our honeymoon! The best part of it all, was that we were leaving the day after Alex’s graduation, so it honestly couldn’t have been planned any better! We both needed this time off, but it was extra special for Alex, because he was officially graduating from Pharmacy School, so it was double the celebration!

May 17th, 2019 : Graduation Day 🎓

I personally love cruising, because you don’t really have to worry about anything, everything is literally taken care of for your, and Royal Caribbean really knows how to treat their guests on-board. From the moment we got to the port they were fully aware that we were on our honeymoon & really gave us those extra perks. Not a day passed by, that we didn’t feel like we were both on Cloud 9! Everything about this trip was absolutely perfect; from the service, to our balcony ocean-view cabin, to the food, to the shows & honestly the list can go on. Royal Caribbean is an exceptional cruise line! They’ve got jaw-dropping performances on stage, ice, water and air with entertainment that transcends the stage, literally. Plus they’ve got so many onboard experiences, that it would be imposible for you to get bored on their ships!

Boardwalk — Symphony of the Seas

Our itinerary included the following ports : (W/ 3 at Sea Days)

  • St. Kitss
  • St. Thomas
  • Coco Cay Perfect Day

Even though, Alex & I have been to all of these 3 islands, we were both just looking forward to relaxing & trying out different excursions that we probably hadn’t done before. Plus, Coco Cay (which is a private island that is owned by Royal Caribbean) had recently gotten a total facelift 😂, so we were looking forward to checking that out as well.

St. Kitts :

Alex & I really wanted to do the Mount Liamuiga Volcano Hike at St. Kitts, but unfortunately due to the weather they had to cancel this excursion. So we decided to go ATV riding throughout the St. Kitts rainforest (which we were able to see Mount Liamuiga from afar + snap some beautiful pictures) & then ended up at the beach, sipping on tropical drinks while we sun-bathed.

ATV Riding — St. Kitts
Ocean View Balcony!😍

St. Thomas :

At St. Thomas, we sailed away on a Catamaran that took us to Christmas Cove where we snorkeled with sea turtles & stingrays. And later sipped on unlimited rum-punch🍹, while we partied our way back to our cruise ship!

Coco Cay, Perfect Day :

Honestly this day was full of tropical drinks & delicious food by the beach, while we sun-bathed at one of their adults-only beaches. Talk about a perfect 👌🏻 day at Coco Cay!

Days at sea, were just as good as the days that we were roaming the islands 🌴. We took those 3-days at sea to enjoy all the perks the ship has to offer + relax by the adults-only pool with a Piña Colada!🍍🍹Besides the fact that this was our honeymoon, this trip was one of the best, and it’s funny because I feel like I always say the same thing about every other trip, but seriously we couldn’t have selected a better way to spend our honeymoon!💛✨🥂🍯

Living the San Fran life:

Living the San Fran life:

Given that our trip to Las Vegas was amazing in so many ways, Alex & I decided to add onto that success and head out to San Francisco. Having the opportunity to visit the city after a couple of years was definitely worth it. For not only did I get to enjoy everything for a second time but since I returned as an adult I got to cherish a lot of places that as a child went over my head. While there we got to visit some beautiful places in the city and even got to squeeze in a visit to Napa Valley, which is a definite must if you’re planning a trip to San Francisco! Little did I know that for those who live in San Francisco, Napa is the place to be for many to make day trips. It’s basically the equivalent of what Walt Disney World is for many Floridians, except there’s more wine instead of Mickey Mouse.

Having experienced Napa Valley I definitely can see why it is that locals come so often, it was without a doubt the highlight of our trip. It began with Alex & me renting a car near our hotel in Union Square and driving up to Napa at 3:00AM, having to make it to Napa at exactly 5:00AM. Luckily we made it right on time for our hot air balloon ride which was lifting off at 5:30AM. Being the planning type, Alex had pre-booked our flight through Napa Valley Balloons and the option we got was the one that offered the ride with a post-flight brunch including unlimited mimosas at Domain Chandon California. Before Alex booked our flight, he had done some research as to which company was the best to go with, since there’s so many to choose from. He eventually stumbled across the company we chose because of all their great reviews and a specific pilot that had 30+ years of experience in maneuvering those bad boys. Obviously we were very interested in finding someone who knew how to safely fly the hot air balloons cause plummeting from that height was not in my plans. Not only that but we were also interested in someone who would make the flight 10X better with their personality and that was definitely the case with ours.

Our pilot’s name was Bob and he not only lived up to his expectations but exceeded them. Besides being very knowledgeable in everything hot air balloon related, he was also very funny & was able to make our flight over Napa, which lasted about 1 hour & 20 minutes, very memorable. We flew out 20 miles from our departure location, which was not the same time length or distance as that of other flyers there. Getting to see such amazing scenery over the Napa valley with a beautiful sunrise was truly worthwhile and I’ll definitely cherish this moment for the rest of my life.

After our flight, we filled up on a very delicious brunch and as soon as we got over the various glasses of mimosas we decided to drive up to Castello di Amorosa. Showcasing some of the best wines in all of Napa Valley this authentically styled 13th century Tuscan castle & Winery was a perfect follow up to an already amazing day. The wine alone is totally worth the drive there, since it’s only sold here, but if you need another reason to go then the castle would definitely be it. You get to roam around the castle with a tour guide and learn about the history behind it all. Plus included in the tour, you get to taste 6 different glasses of wine and actually see how they are made.

Although Napa holds about 400+ different wineries, one day alone isn’t enough to actually enjoy Napa to the fullest. But with the very little time that we had in California, one day was totally enough to say that we completely fell in LOVE with Napa. So much so that I’ll definitely be coming back there some day and get to experience the magic all over again that this place has over any who visit it.

XOXO, Yesi 🥂

Viva Las Vegas:

Viva Las Vegas:

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas….except of course for all the great pointers I’m going to mention for any of you considering visiting Vegas. Whether you’re into the party scene or just a relaxing time, this place has the best of both. With all the great clubs, shows and restaurants there’s always something to do but apart from that it also offers beautiful sceneries that are an absolute must see, like the Grand Canyon!

I guess that’s what I LOVED the most about Vegas, it truly has a little bit of everything for all types of people (but definitely not for kids)! I can’t emphasize that enough. In fact my first time in Vegas was when I was only 6 years old and even though I remember very little of it, I do remember that my older brother & I couldn’t do much because of our age. We were very limited as to what we could do, so we spent most of our time with our grandparents walking around the resorts and of course visiting the Grand Canyon. So being able to visit Vegas again was exciting for me, because it almost felt like I was going for the very first time. Before my trip I made a list of things my Fiancé & I wanted to do and we basically planned our 4 days around that list.

Things to do in Vegas:

  •  Visit each and every resort on The Strip:

-The cool thing about The Strip is that you can find all the famous resorts in exactly one place…down the strip of course. The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles, which makes everything pretty much walking distance. But don’t worry about passing out from heat exhaustion since you can buy a drink nearly anywhere on The Strip. All while you get to check out each resort and their unique features that offer different themes, which I personally found pretty cool because they will keep to that theme to the T. My favorite place to buy a drink on The Strip was at Fat Tuesday’s, you can find one pretty much anywhere near every resort & best of all their drinks are refillable.

My personal favorite resorts:

-Wynn

-Bellagio

-Ceasar’s Palace

-New-York New-York

-Paris

-Aria

-The Cosmopolitan

-Encore

-The Venetian (LOVED THEIR GONDOLA RIDE)

  • Food:

– Buffets are the way to go in Vegas, there’s one in every resort. They can be pricey, but totally worth it, because the quality of food makes up for it.

– Each buffet ranges anywhere between $35.00 to $70.00

– With all the different themed resorts, you will also be getting very diverse menus that will hit all those taste buds in all the right places in ways that you never knew before.

  • Gambling:

– If you & your significant other love gambling (who doesn’t like to take some risks every once in a while), then Vegas will be your new favorite vacay spot. They basically eat, sleep & breathe gambling…it’s literally going on 24/7, since everything else closes but the casinos. You can literally find a Casino in every resort, even at the airport, just in case you want to try your luck out one last time before you leave.  Plus the cool thing is that you’ll get free drinks from the bar attendees while you’re playing at the casinos.

  • Shop till you drop:

-For those of you that can’t do without retail therapy, not to worry since you can find the shops inside every resort.  From all of your high end brands to the regular stores that you can find pretty much anywhere else.

  • Shows & nightlife:

– Vegas is well known for their award winning shows and you honestly can’t go to Vegas without watching a show. They have a variety of Cirque du Soleil shows, with “The Beatles & O” being their very best. You can find comedians pretty much everywhere, even some that offer magic with their acts, for those wanting to cross off two in one.  Also you can’t forget about the singers that offer such amazing performances that they manage to draw in crowds regularly. We watched Le Reve & Absinthe (both were absolutely amazing), Absinthe being a mixture of a raunchy adult comedy & acrobat show.

For all those party animals not only does Vegas have well known DJs but they also have a variety of clubs that offer different themes + bottle service tables to make your experience extra special. The cool thing about Vegas is that while you’re on The Strip you can pretty much find a promoter on every corner & get information on what’s going on at night & who will be preforming where , which helps you out plan your night out. Luckily, we were able to get into Omnia Nightclub and get to see Steve Aoki, talk about an experience!

I would totally recommend informing yourself before heading out to any show or nightclub to make sure it’s the type of scene you like, cause its Vegas and there are tastes to meet anyone’s desire. You can find information about the shows on TripAdvisory & Yelp and the promoters can help you out with the nightclubs as well.  When it comes to shopping for show tickets, I would totally recommend to purchase them ahead of time, because they do get booked fairly quickly.

  • Grand Canyon Tour:

– If you’re in Vegas you have to set one day aside just to go visit the Grand Canyon. The beauty that this one place holds is something that everyone has to see with their own eyes at least once in their lives. The geological history that the Grand Canyon holds is truly amazing, like jaw dropping amazing! Trust me you won’t want to miss going to the Grand Canyon!!!

They offer a variety of tours that you can take to the Grand Canyon. Alex & I decided to do the bus tour that would pick us up early in the morning at the hotel & take us back at around 6:00PM, so yes, you’re literally spending the entire day there. I would totally recommend getting a tour that includes various stops so you can actually get the full experience of it all, especially a stop at the Hoover Dam. Trust me it is well worth seeing this incredible structure, so make sure that whatever option you’re getting includes it before purchasing your tickets. Also try and plan it out ahead of time, because we reserved our spots before we even headed to Vegas due to it filling up pretty quickly. Along with the Hoover Dam option we booked the tour that would take us to the West Rim, which allowed us to hike for about 3 hours once we got there.

We booked our tours through Sweet Tours Vegas, which offers a bunch of different tour options depending on what fits your needs better. You can take a look at their site & check out their different options + see how many spaces are available for the specific one that you’d like to go on.

  • Visit Fremont Street:

-Fremont Street is a street in downtown Las Vegas, that is among the most famous streets there, besides The Strip. In fact some would even say that Fremont Street was the original Strip. Although you can find casinos located pretty much anywhere in Vegas, Fremont Street is known to have the most famous casinos in all of Vegas, like the Golden Nugget. Fremont Street also offers a variety of things to do & places to eat.

They even have a beautiful light show experience at night + a zip-line experience through Fremont Street. You can find a few similar things at Fremont to the Strip, like the Fat Tuesday’s drinks and artsy people trying to make a living. Plus, you’re walking distance from the Elvis Chapel, for any of you who would like to tie the knot, Elvis style!

With all that being said, I really hope that this short guide will help you out when planning your upcoming vacay to Las Vegas. There’s so much to do and so little time to do it in that organization becomes a definite must in order to maximize the most out of your vacation. But no matter what you decide to do I would like to wish those of you who are planning an upcoming vacay to Vegas the very best in their travels & that you get to live in the moment while you’re there because it’s totally worth it.

XOXO, Yesi 🥂
