1. L’Oréal Detox & Brighten Pure Clay Mask:

This supercharged clay mask will literally brighten your face after 10 minutes. I absolutely love applying it after a very long day & most of the time right in the middle of the week. I basically take it as a at home mini-spa day, and if you really wanna do the same, then you can just slice up some cucumbers & lay it on your eyes for the duration of the Clay Mask!

2. Acure Moroccan Argan Oil:

This bad boy is a definite must, it’s meant to restore the appearance of the textures & tones of your skin, and the best part of it all is that you can also use it on your hair! Talk about a 2-in-1 product!!

3. Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water:

Looking for the perfect product to remove your makeup but also mattify your skin? Look no further, this product is definitely the one you’ve been looking for! I personally like using this specific product right after using my Neutrogena Make-up Cleansing Towelettes, just to mattify my skin a bit more.

4. L’Oréal Magic Skin-beautifier BB:

This is my go-to BB cream for whenever I’m not in the mood to apply any makeup on my face, it color corrects and hydrates your skin. The cool part of it all is that once you apply it, it will literally transform from a lime green color to your perfect shade, for a bare finish look!

5. Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 15:

Can I just say how I absolutely LOVE this product? This is my go-to Moisturizer, I literally live for it! I’ve been using this product for about 5 years now & I haven’t had the necessity of changing it, because it does exactly what its meant to do. Moisturizes & hydrates my skin, while also giving it that extra protection with its SPF 15.

6. Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser:

Cetaphil is well known for their facial & body cleansers, all of their products are created to treat all different skin types without deteriorating or ruining your actual skin. I absolutely love how gentle this specific product is and how soft it makes my skin feel after every wash!

7. Neutrogena Make-up Cleansing Towelettes:

If you’re looking for the best towelettes to remove your makeup, look no further because these are the ONES! Which is why I choose to spend a little more & get these bad boys, because they completely remove all of my makeup and heavy residue off of my face.

8. Neutrogena Radiance Boost Hydrogel Mask:

I love to use these whenever I get home from work feeling all tired & in need of some extra boost! It instantly quenches my dry skin, leaving it hydrated & smooth. It’s truly magical and not expensive at all, you can literally call it a spa day after work right from the comfort of your home!

9. SheaMoisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask:

I’m all into mud masks, so this one is definitely an absolute must have. It draws out dirt, while helping absorb any excess oil & improve the appearance of troubled skin. It’s just a little extra step in helping my skin look as flawless as possible, I personally like to switch both SheaMoisture African Black Soap + L’Oréal Detox & Brighten Pure Clay Mask throughout the week, so I don’t just stick to one product.

10. Yes To Cucumbers 2-Step Single Use Eye Kit:

Have you ever had dark circles under your eyes that you can’t find a way to get rid of? We all have those every once in a while, and I’ve found that Yes To Cucumbers 2-Step Single Use Eye Kit has absolutely helped me whenever it’s too much to handle! This product contains soothing cucumbers, caffeine and fruity fruits to keep my skin calm while waving buh-bye to my dark circles! It’s a 2-step product, and step 2 is an eye treatment cream that is meant to help brighten the under eye area.

Hopefully these 10 of my faves will also become part of yours, let me know how ya’ll like them after trying them out & don’t forget that any of these products can literally be found at your nearest drugstore, while not breaking your bank account, which is definitely a plus!

Living the San Fran life:

Living the San Fran life:

Given that our trip to Las Vegas was amazing in so many ways, Alex & I decided to add onto that success and head out to San Francisco. Having the opportunity to visit the city after a couple of years was definitely worth it. For not only did I get to enjoy everything for a second time but since I returned as an adult I got to cherish a lot of places that as a child went over my head. While there we got to visit some beautiful places in the city and even got to squeeze in a visit to Napa Valley, which is a definite must if you’re planning a trip to San Francisco! Little did I know that for those who live in San Francisco, Napa is the place to be for many to make day trips. It’s basically the equivalent of what Walt Disney World is for many Floridians, except there’s more wine instead of Mickey Mouse.

Having experienced Napa Valley I definitely can see why it is that locals come so often, it was without a doubt the highlight of our trip. It began with Alex & me renting a car near our hotel in Union Square and driving up to Napa at 3:00AM, having to make it to Napa at exactly 5:00AM. Luckily we made it right on time for our hot air balloon ride which was lifting off at 5:30AM. Being the planning type, Alex had pre-booked our flight through Napa Valley Balloons and the option we got was the one that offered the ride with a post-flight brunch including unlimited mimosas at Domain Chandon California. Before Alex booked our flight, he had done some research as to which company was the best to go with, since there’s so many to choose from. He eventually stumbled across the company we chose because of all their great reviews and a specific pilot that had 30+ years of experience in maneuvering those bad boys. Obviously we were very interested in finding someone who knew how to safely fly the hot air balloons cause plummeting from that height was not in my plans. Not only that but we were also interested in someone who would make the flight 10X better with their personality and that was definitely the case with ours.

Our pilot’s name was Bob and he not only lived up to his expectations but exceeded them. Besides being very knowledgeable in everything hot air balloon related, he was also very funny & was able to make our flight over Napa, which lasted about 1 hour & 20 minutes, very memorable. We flew out 20 miles from our departure location, which was not the same time length or distance as that of other flyers there. Getting to see such amazing scenery over the Napa valley with a beautiful sunrise was truly worthwhile and I’ll definitely cherish this moment for the rest of my life.

After our flight, we filled up on a very delicious brunch and as soon as we got over the various glasses of mimosas we decided to drive up to Castello di Amorosa. Showcasing some of the best wines in all of Napa Valley this authentically styled 13th century Tuscan castle & Winery was a perfect follow up to an already amazing day. The wine alone is totally worth the drive there, since it’s only sold here, but if you need another reason to go then the castle would definitely be it. You get to roam around the castle with a tour guide and learn about the history behind it all. Plus included in the tour, you get to taste 6 different glasses of wine and actually see how they are made.

Although Napa holds about 400+ different wineries, one day alone isn’t enough to actually enjoy Napa to the fullest. But with the very little time that we had in California, one day was totally enough to say that we completely fell in LOVE with Napa. So much so that I’ll definitely be coming back there some day and get to experience the magic all over again that this place has over any who visit it.

Viva Las Vegas:

Viva Las Vegas:

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas….except of course for all the great pointers I’m going to mention for any of you considering visiting Vegas. Whether you’re into the party scene or just a relaxing time, this place has the best of both. With all the great clubs, shows and restaurants there’s always something to do but apart from that it also offers beautiful sceneries that are an absolute must see, like the Grand Canyon!

I guess that’s what I LOVED the most about Vegas, it truly has a little bit of everything for all types of people (but definitely not for kids)! I can’t emphasize that enough. In fact my first time in Vegas was when I was only 6 years old and even though I remember very little of it, I do remember that my older brother & I couldn’t do much because of our age. We were very limited as to what we could do, so we spent most of our time with our grandparents walking around the resorts and of course visiting the Grand Canyon. So being able to visit Vegas again was exciting for me, because it almost felt like I was going for the very first time. Before my trip I made a list of things my Fiancé & I wanted to do and we basically planned our 4 days around that list.

Things to do in Vegas:

  •  Visit each and every resort on The Strip:

-The cool thing about The Strip is that you can find all the famous resorts in exactly one place…down the strip of course. The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles, which makes everything pretty much walking distance. But don’t worry about passing out from heat exhaustion since you can buy a drink nearly anywhere on The Strip. All while you get to check out each resort and their unique features that offer different themes, which I personally found pretty cool because they will keep to that theme to the T. My favorite place to buy a drink on The Strip was at Fat Tuesday’s, you can find one pretty much anywhere near every resort & best of all their drinks are refillable.

My personal favorite resorts:

-Ceasar’s Palace

-New-York New-York

-The Cosmopolitan

  • Food:

– Buffets are the way to go in Vegas, there’s one in every resort. They can be pricey, but totally worth it, because the quality of food makes up for it.

– Each buffet ranges anywhere between $35.00 to $70.00

– With all the different themed resorts, you will also be getting very diverse menus that will hit all those taste buds in all the right places in ways that you never knew before.

  • Gambling:

– If you & your significant other love gambling (who doesn’t like to take some risks every once in a while), then Vegas will be your new favorite vacay spot. They basically eat, sleep & breathe gambling…it’s literally going on 24/7, since everything else closes but the casinos. You can literally find a Casino in every resort, even at the airport, just in case you want to try your luck out one last time before you leave.  Plus the cool thing is that you’ll get free drinks from the bar attendees while you’re playing at the casinos.

  • Shop till you drop:

-For those of you that can’t do without retail therapy, not to worry since you can find the shops inside every resort.  From all of your high end brands to the regular stores that you can find pretty much anywhere else.

  • Shows & nightlife:

– Vegas is well known for their award winning shows and you honestly can’t go to Vegas without watching a show. They have a variety of Cirque du Soleil shows, with “The Beatles & O” being their very best. You can find comedians pretty much everywhere, even some that offer magic with their acts, for those wanting to cross off two in one.  Also you can’t forget about the singers that offer such amazing performances that they manage to draw in crowds regularly. We watched Le Reve & Absinthe (both were absolutely amazing), Absinthe being a mixture of a raunchy adult comedy & acrobat show.

For all those party animals not only does Vegas have well known DJs but they also have a variety of clubs that offer different themes + bottle service tables to make your experience extra special. The cool thing about Vegas is that while you’re on The Strip you can pretty much find a promoter on every corner & get information on what’s going on at night & who will be preforming where , which helps you out plan your night out. Luckily, we were able to get into Omnia Nightclub and get to see Steve Aoki, talk about an experience!

I would totally recommend informing yourself before heading out to any show or nightclub to make sure it’s the type of scene you like, cause its Vegas and there are tastes to meet anyone’s desire. You can find information about the shows on TripAdvisory & Yelp and the promoters can help you out with the nightclubs as well.  When it comes to shopping for show tickets, I would totally recommend to purchase them ahead of time, because they do get booked fairly quickly.

  • Grand Canyon Tour:

– If you’re in Vegas you have to set one day aside just to go visit the Grand Canyon. The beauty that this one place holds is something that everyone has to see with their own eyes at least once in their lives. The geological history that the Grand Canyon holds is truly amazing, like jaw dropping amazing! Trust me you won’t want to miss going to the Grand Canyon!!!

They offer a variety of tours that you can take to the Grand Canyon. Alex & I decided to do the bus tour that would pick us up early in the morning at the hotel & take us back at around 6:00PM, so yes, you’re literally spending the entire day there. I would totally recommend getting a tour that includes various stops so you can actually get the full experience of it all, especially a stop at the Hoover Dam. Trust me it is well worth seeing this incredible structure, so make sure that whatever option you’re getting includes it before purchasing your tickets. Also try and plan it out ahead of time, because we reserved our spots before we even headed to Vegas due to it filling up pretty quickly. Along with the Hoover Dam option we booked the tour that would take us to the West Rim, which allowed us to hike for about 3 hours once we got there.

We booked our tours through Sweet Tours Vegas, which offers a bunch of different tour options depending on what fits your needs better. You can take a look at their site & check out their different options + see how many spaces are available for the specific one that you’d like to go on.

  • Visit Fremont Street:

-Fremont Street is a street in downtown Las Vegas, that is among the most famous streets there, besides The Strip. In fact some would even say that Fremont Street was the original Strip. Although you can find casinos located pretty much anywhere in Vegas, Fremont Street is known to have the most famous casinos in all of Vegas, like the Golden Nugget. Fremont Street also offers a variety of things to do & places to eat.

They even have a beautiful light show experience at night + a zip-line experience through Fremont Street. You can find a few similar things at Fremont to the Strip, like the Fat Tuesday’s drinks and artsy people trying to make a living. Plus, you’re walking distance from the Elvis Chapel, for any of you who would like to tie the knot, Elvis style!

With all that being said, I really hope that this short guide will help you out when planning your upcoming vacay to Las Vegas. There’s so much to do and so little time to do it in that organization becomes a definite must in order to maximize the most out of your vacation. But no matter what you decide to do I would like to wish those of you who are planning an upcoming vacay to Vegas the very best in their travels & that you get to live in the moment while you’re there because it’s totally worth it.

XOXO, Yesi 🥂

Hunting for Bridesmaid Dresses:

Hunting for Bridesmaid Dresses:

Anyone that has gone through wedding planning knows that ordering bridesmaid dresses could be a handful, which is why I believe that it’s something that should be done with time. Having to deal with such things as specific styles, colors and sizes could take up to 16 weeks to custom make. So the sooner you can start hunting for the perfect dresses for your Bride Tribe the better!

When it comes time to selecting the bridesmaids dress, most brides would prefer to select a specific dress for their bridesmaids, without considering their own ideas. But then there are those brides who would like some sort of input from their bridesmaids, which is where I fall in. I guess it’s all about the preference, but I’m the type of bride who wants to make sure that her bridesmaids feel just as beautiful & comfortable as I would on my special day. That is why I felt that it was very important for me to have them all give me their input when we went hunting for their dresses. At the end of the day it is one’s own wedding but regardless this will be a dress that they’ll be spending a good amount of money on & I would really love it if they could get something that they absolutely love & could potentially wear again.

So this past Sunday all my bridesmaids were able to get together and look for the perfect dress that would look perfect on all of them. As soon as we walked into David’s Bridal, our consultant advised us to look around their store and select whatever they wanted to try on. I started with the basics by selecting some styles that I personally loved and also allowing them to select some that they liked as well, along with the specific color that I wanted them to wear. You’d think that most brides would think the process of selecting a dress with so many opinions would be difficult, but in reality it made the whole process so much easier for me. So much so that in less than 10 minutes we had decided among 10 different dresses to choose from & I thought to myself “let’s get this started”.

I had my bridesmaids each wear a different dress so we could use up our time wisely and I kid you not, on the first try I knew we had found the one dress that would look perfect on all of them. I asked them all to change into that same dress so we could see how they looked and just as I imagined they looked amazing. My Bride Tribe was able to say YES TO THE DRESS and I was one happy bride because not only did our plan work accordingly, but I knew that they were all just as happy as I was. That to me is really important because even though it’s the bride’s special day, her Bride Tribes opinion should be important too. Especially considering that they are the ones wearing the dress and considering all that is to happen on that day you’d want them to be that much more comfortable & happier. Happy bridesmaids make a much happier bride and this day doesn’t come around too often so better make it the happiest day for all as possible.

XOXO, Yesi 🥂

Sunday Funday @ South Point Miami:

Sunday Funday @ South Point Miami:

If I had to pick one thing that I absolutely LOVE about Miami it would have to be the weather. It’s amazing how down here it’s summer throughout the year, except of course for that one spontaneous week in the year that it gets cold, even though it’s only in the high 50s. Compared to other regions that’s the only winter we get here and there is much excitement over it since we get to break out the winter wear. Yet for those of you who know me fairly well, I live for warm weather and until recently I didn’t even know what it was like to experience what true winter was like.

It was only when my Fiancé & I decided to ring in the New Year in Chicago that I truly knew that I was meant to be born in Miami. As much as I loved seeing snow for my very first time & visit one of my favorite cities, I was missing Miami a whole lot more. Apart from the obvious freezing cold temperature, it was also because I literally looked like a walking ball of fluff with all the layers of clothes I had on. Of course it was in the hopes of staying as warm as I could but little did I know that once I walked indoors I would have to start removing a ton of clothes in any attempt to prevent a heat stroke. Even though I took enough clothes to stay warm in Chicago’s below zero weather it made it very hard for any of my outfits to look fabulous.

Making sure my outfits always look on point are not always easy and in Chicago’s winter it definitely didn’t make it any easier on me. Luckily though I don’t have to experience this type of weather nor deal with being buried under snow! Instead I’m living it up in Miami’s amazing weather and I have the flexibility to play around with my wardrobe more. In fact this past weekend my family & I celebrated my mother’s birthday and we ended up having dinner by the beach. So I thought what better place than that to get to dress all tropical. I wore these oversized linen floral pants & I paired it with a pale pink skintight crop-top. I accessorized them with these yellow gold & turquoise dangle earrings, a Louis Vuitton beige wallet & my favorite beige Michael Kors sandals.

Having such great weather down here in Miami allows me to not only play around with my wardrobe, but also try out some different styles that might be a bit more revealing. The fact that my outfits are actually being displayed rather than hiding underneath a bunch of layers makes it 10X better! Plus I don’t have to waste x amount of time having to take it off and on. Honestly you just don’t know how good you have it until you experience another place’s weather and seeing what it’s like in other cities definitely makes me appreciate Miami a whole lot more.

XOXO, Yesi 🥂

About me:

About me:

HELLO to you all!

First and foremost, I would like to introduce myself to those of you who may not know me personally. My name is Yesenia Gonzalez and I’m someone who loves everything about fashion & learning how to implement different styles into my everyday looks. Thankfully I’m lucky enough to get to call Miami my home, a city which is on the forefront of the fashion industry.

Growing up I’ve always dreamed of using my styling abilities to help others figure out what they should and shouldn’t wear. Fortunately, I’ve been able to do just that throughout the years by helping my clients figure out what jewelry pieces would fit perfectly with their everyday look or for any given special occasion.

My family started our family owned business in 1989, at a little location that was called “Happy Jewelry.” With hard work and dedication my parents were eventually able to expand and eventually open up our current store known as “Marilin’s Jewelry” (named after my mother). It was there where I spent most of my childhood, learning all about jewelry and what it took to become a business woman. As a child I considered myself to be very shy and I’d like to believe that by working at such a young age, while being exposed to this type of environment, it managed to get me out of my shell and open up more as a person. It definitely molded me into the woman I am today and I’m thankful for that opportunity, especially to my parents who were able to teach me and instill the hardworking mentality which I have and lets me be known as a BOSS LADY!

Presently I’ve been managing my own store called Precious Jeweler’s & Co. for nearly a year now. While always still learning on the job, I’ve been able to use the skills that I’ve gathered throughout my life in order to benefit the business even more. However something that will forever remain as my goal for each day is to always be able to provide happiness to every single client that walks through the door. Since I’m able to continue my journey in the jewelry business, I look forward to sharing with others what this business is all about. Moreover be able to further develop my obsession with fashion and many other things that I enjoy to do on my spare time in the hopes of helping others and bringing out their uniqueness.

-Cheers to new beginnings and lasting encounters! 🥂

XOXO, Yesi
